This week in RE/Gospel we have been learning about Lent and people over the world who are struggling but using things that they can re-use.

I learnt that my Lenten promises can make you be closer to God and Jesus and also about how people are surviving in different places and also how it affects them in climate change.

This week in Reading we have been learning about Sir Edmund Hillary.
My Learning Goal was: Identify some text events and discuss what they make the reader think about.
My create in  this week was: Create a pick’a’path style google slide. One slide one, create or choose a significant image. Have three buttons (links) off this image to three separate slides that showcase 3 significant events from the text, explain what they are important.

This week in Reading we have been learning about Elon Musk.

My Learning Goal was: Identify some text events and features, and discuss what they make the reader think about and identify at least one important idea and justify why it is important.

I learnt that Elon Musk is the founder of Tesla and that he has made so many different types of things. He is also the 2nd richest person in the world.

Create: Make an informative poster about some text features in the Elon Musk Text. Summarise the text in your own words. Identify one important idea and justify why this is important to you.

This term in PBL ( Project Based Learning ) we have been learning about the earth’s system and Natural Resources.

My Learning Goal was: Develop an understanding that water, air, rocks and soil, and life forms make up our planet and recognize that these are also Earth’s resources. I learnt what you need to make a successful island and I learned what all the earth’s Natural Resources are and what they do.

This week in reading, we have been reading about the tallest building of all time. The 2 structures we learned about were Burj Khalifa and The KVLY-TV mast.

2 facts I learnt were that The Burj Khalifa building started 6 January 2004 and ended 1 October 2009. The opening was on 4 January 2010. Also KVLY-TV mast is located 4.8km west of Blanchard, North Dakota, halfway between Fargo and Grand Forks.
